The property was Melbourne's earliest commercial bakery (circa 1850) and the large, wood fired, brick bakery ovens are a grand feature of the "Bakehouse" breakfast room. Four of the rooms are in the baker's original home featuring 12 foot high ceilings, pressed tin ceiling, ornate timber staircase and enchanting furnishings. Robinsons in the City is the perfect base to explore Melbourne and ideally located close to Southern Cross Railway Station (Spencer Street Station), Docklands and Southbank Precincts, the Central Business District, Queen Victoria Market, parks and gardens and within easy access to Melbourne International Airport.
